Doug Carr and Dave McConnell assisted Rite Aid in obtaining State and Federal anti-trust clearances to purchase Waltz Retail pharmacy assets. Doug Carr and Dave McConnell assisted firm client RAD in obtaining approval from the State of Maine and the FTC on an acquisition by Rite Aid of Maine of the assets of three of the five remaining Waltz pharmacy retail store locations in Pittsfield, Belfast, and Camden, Maine. The Maine Attorney General and the FTC issued "No Action Letters" without conditions thereby enabling the sale of the assets to proceed without significant interruption and without any material restructuring of the transaction.
